Residential, In-Home HVAC Sales Representative
Summary
Home Comfort Advisors identify customers’ needs to accurately design and price heating & air conditioning systems for residential applications.
We are seeking a well-organized self-starter with excellent written and verbal communications skills. A keen attention to detail and computer literacy is a must. We will augment your knowledge with sales and product related training, giving you all the tools necessary to assist clients with coaching them to make informed buying decisions.
You are highly motivated: You have a drive to learn more because you know that it serves everyone – from the customer to the team to yourself. You push yourself to meet more customers and help them more efficiently.
You’re a natural salesperson: You are comfortable around people and you love helping them reach a decision that’s right for them. You’re not pushy but you’re also not a pushover. Ideally, you have at least 5 years of in-home sales experience in which you help customers feel confident about making high-cost decisions that may be complex and technical for them. No Prior HVAC sales experience or HVAC equipment/technical knowledge is needed. We will train the right HVAC Sales employee.
You’re ready to work: You have a driver’s license, Drug free and a ready-to-work attitude and can workdays, evenings, and weekends to meet with customers in their homes at their convenience

Casey’s Climate Partners has been serving customers in Connecticut since the early 1900s. We are based in Milford, CT. and service all of New Haven and Fairfield Counties.
Essential Functions
• Responsible for handling all sales leads (self-generated and furnished by the Company) in a timely and professional manner and communicating the disposition of each lead with the Sales and Installation Manager
• Accurately design and quote solutions for residential customers
• Responsible for executing proper follow up procedures with every customer
• Ensures that customer expectations are met and kept throughout the duration of the project to ensure complete customer satisfaction
• Develop and maintain sales that meet or exceed the profit margin and closing ratio goals assigned by the Sales and Installation Manager
• Make recommendations to the customer regarding the different options they must resolve their wants and needs
• Communicate to the consumer on the proper operation and maintenance of the installed equipment
• Answer related questions as to operation, features, and functions to the homeowner
• Identify new business opportunities by performing direct sales activities and provide support to the administrative personnel as needed
Qualifications
• At least 5 years of in-home sales experience with a proven track record of success
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
• Ability to properly engineer a job, perform heat load calculations and determine proper equipment sizing
• Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities
• Knowledge of HVAC and products preferred
• HVAC Sales is a huge plus
Physical Activities & Requirements
• Physical Strength: Walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, crawling, stooping, climbing ladders and stairs and lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs. occasionally
• Environment: Work in office setting and customers’ homes including tight areas such as crawl spaces and attics. Work in varying temperatures from climate-controlled buildings to non-climate-controlled areas occasionally with extreme temperatures

The Big Task
Diagnostic troubleshooting & repair with all aspects of residential HVAC including gas heating systems and air conditioning units.

Key Sub Tasks
• Must partner with dispatchers, technicians, installers to provide customers with service as outlined in department policies & procedures
• Must address customer issues and ensure effective & long-term problem resolution
• Serves existing & new accounts by analyzing work orders; following daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems
• Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering & gathering components & parts; performing acceptance tests
• Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods & techniques; recommending system improvements
• Keeps personal equipment operating by following instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; performing repairs
• Documents service actions by completing forms, logs, and records
• Updates knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications
• Accomplishes operation & organization mission by completing related results as needed
• You must be able to maintain professional conduct in all work situations, have a "clean cut" appearance and adapt well to all types of working conditions
Here's what we are looking for:
• 2+ years of HVAC Diagnostic Repair Service Technician experience
• EPA Section 608 Type II or Universal Certification
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must pass pre-employment drug test
• Must pass extensive criminal background check
• Must have an insurable driving record & valid driver license
• Must be able to fluently speak, read, and write in the English language

• North American Technician Excellence (NATE) Certification
