We always email (or call them if they prefer) our customers a reminder the night before an appointment. Our technicians also always call when on the way so customers know to expect us. Our dispatch software also automatically notifies all customers when a technician is on the way. So the customer was very aware of the appointment.
Our technician complete a complete 14-point Tune-Up for the customers Carrier Air Condition. Our technician started at the thermostat to ensure that it was calibrated and cycled A/C on & off correctly; then changed the air filter; checked the blower amperage; checked & tightened all electrical connections; made sure blower wheel was clean; checked the static pressure to ensure system had proper airflow; cleared the condensate drain to ensure it didn't back up & leak during cooling season; checked condenser coil and cleared debris blocking airflow; checked the capacitor for proper rating; checked superheat & subcoolilng to ensure the Freon levels were correct; lubricated fan motors; and checked the temperature drop over the coil to ensure system was cooling home.
We made sure tp call the customer multiple times to get the maintenance schedule so he didn't have to remember to call. We also sent somebody to post a reminder on his door to call and schedule his maintenance. Technician arrived and cyceled tstat to ensure that it was calibrated and sent the call for heat at the right temperature; inspected & adjusted gas pressure; cleaned flame sensor; confirmed hot surface ignitor was operating properly and reading the correct microamps; checked for proper combustion; measured amperage of combustion motor; inspected & tightened all electrical connections; confirmed proper operations of gas fired boiler and advised customer he is eligible for a "Worry Free Guarantee" to cover any breakdowns.
Our office reached out to the customer automatically to schedule the yearly maintenance. Customer provided us with information to contact a friend to let us into house. We agreed to call the friend 30 minutes prior to arrival so that he could leave his house and meet us there. Our technician called on the way and completed a 14-point tune up of customers Goodman heat pump system. Started at the thermostat to ensure that both heat pump & auxillary heat modes worked. Changed air filter. Cycled reversing valve to make sure sysetm properly switches from cooling mode to heating mode. Oil fan motor. Checked Freon charge to make sure it was accurate. Tightened all electrical connections. Checked amperage of each electric heater to ensure maximum BTU capacity being reached. Confirmed his heat pump system is now all set to run for this heating system.
